LMRA Tennis Flex League Format Rules

a. LMRA is a family based organization and the leagues are intended
to provide enjoyment and competition. Excessive foul and or bad
language and or verbal abuse against opponents and or un-sportsman's
like conduct will not be tolerated. Any player using foul and or
bad language and or verbal abuse and or committing un-sportsman's
like conduct can be immediately disqualified and will be removed
form the league. Please contact the tennis commissioner as soon
as possible after a violation and the player's privileges will be
revoked. No warnings will be given.
b. Format (Visitor vs Home) The Home player is required to provide
a new can of tennis balls for each scheduled match.
c. Each Match is comprised of 3 sets, normal scoring - a 12 Point
Tie Break at 6 Games All (lst player to 7, win by 2). All scoring
to be submitted via e-mail to Doug Hallman.
Please only submit one "revolving email" that tallies
your scores each week. For example: Hallman def Hewitt 6-3, 6-2
(week 1), Hallman def Roddick 6-2, 6-4 (week 2).
Please use players' last names when reporting scores. Scores are
extremely important in determining who wins. In any division where
all scores are not fully reported, only players who have submitted
all scores will be considered for an award. If no player has submitted
all scores, no awards will be provided.
d. Home player has the responsibility for confirming the scheduled
match. All Players must cooperate with home team for scheduling
match.
e. One match scheduled each week and should be played in week scheduled.
Make-ups can be made up to the last week of scheduled play. The
player who cannot play during the scheduled week should be extra
considerate to his opponent (who was inconvenienced) when rescheduling.
A match date should be rescheduled within two weeks. All matches
should be played.
f. If either player is more than 30 minutes late, the late player
must forfeit the match unless otherwise agreed upon.
g. Under extenuating circumstances the home player may petition
the tennis commissioner for "reasonable cause for misunderstanding."
h. Players standings will be determined by the standings at the
end of scheduled play. Please complete all matches possible by then.
